Alyssa Danziger is a Partner at Katz Chwat, PC, practicing predominantly in the area of estate planning. Alyssa worked with Neil Katz and Lara Chwat at Katz, Bernstein & Katz, LLP before joining them at the new firm, starting shortly after her graduation from law school. She assists all types of clients with their estate planning documents, from those who need asset protection for Medicaid planning to those who need to explore the utilization of trusts for high-net-worth tax planning. Alyssa was recently promoted to Partner as of January 2026.
Alyssa was motivated to become an attorney from a young age. Her background in finance attracted her to the field of corporate law, and her prior legal experience also includes working as a corporate summer associate for Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, PC in Garden City in 2014. She gained courtroom experience as an intern with the Town of Brookhaven in 2013 and through the Mortgage and Foreclosure Clinic at Touro Law School, where she represented clients facing foreclosure.
In May of 2015, Alyssa received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While in law school, she was a member of the Honors Program and the Touro Law Review, where she served as Notes & Comments editor, assisting other students in publishing their articles. Alyssa’s own comment, “The Facebook Status that Sparked an SEC Investigation: Regulation Fair Disclosure and the Growth of Social Media,” was published in the Touro Law Review in October of 2014.
Alyssa received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and minors in French and International Business with Language from the University of Delaware in 2012. She graduated magna cum laude with an Honors degree, and served as Vice President of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Alyssa is a member of the New York State, Nassau County, and Suffolk County Bar Associations, and serves as the Secretary of the Estate Planning Council of Long Island. She has co-authored articles published in the Nassau Lawyer, including “All in the Family: Who Has Authority to Make Health Care Decisions?” and “Estate Planning to Ensure That Digital Assets Do Not Disappear in the Cloud.” She was also chosen as a 2019 recipient of The Long Island Business News 30 Under 30 award.
